Floriani Red Flint Polenta
Rich, creamy and deeply satisfying, once you taste this polenta, you won’t want any other kind. We coarsely grind Floriani’s intense red kernels into a vibrant yellow and rosy pink polenta that pairs wonderfully with bitter greens like collards or dandelion, sautéed mushrooms or, our favorite, rustic lamb stew.
FLORIANI RED FLINT CORN
This prized milling corn from the Valsugana region of northern Italy once fed generations of Italians living in the foothills of the Alps, but by the time it was brought to the United States, it had nearly been lost. Ruby red with a fantastically rich and earthy taste, Floriani corn is still quite rare, and we are so excited to be able to share with you the first of this heirloom to be grown at Belden Barns. We have milled it into polenta, cornmeal and corn flour – perfect for a multitude of dishes, guaranteed to delight.
